Dinosaur Cafe

The cafe is inside a bar, and both businesses are FANTASTIC. The bar was incredibly busy, but the bartender was friendly and quick to service, and the man at the cafe was incredibly nice, amiable, and welcoming to us as travellers. Cannot recommend enough.

Once you find it’s so worth it!!! Great classic old bar feel inside with great food with surprisingly big portions that are worth the price. Chicken Philly was great. Cook was really cool guy when I picked the food up. Cheers! Highly recommended!

Pretty great first visit (finally!) to the Dinosaur Cafe. Bar up front, order window in the back. There's plenty communal style seating along with standing spots to throw back some grub in the back and tables and bar tops up front.While I was bummed they ran out of shrimp, the catfish poboy hit the spot. Great bread, perfect fry, tasty tomatoes and Louisiana hot sauce on the tables. It's hard to find a poboy coming correct outside of the southeast but man, this one was perfect! The gumbolaya was a nice combo of gumbo & jambalaya which was also tasty but I'd try the gumbo straight-up next time.All in all a great local, divey vibe with excellent food, TVs, and affordable food & drink. Definitely recommend!!

Hidden gem. If smokejumpers and other fire guys recommend it, it is good. Creole was great; it has a little kick for this New England girl. When I ordered the zucchini sticks I thought order of 8 was eight sticks, not 8 zucchinis! Bring cash. Charlie Bs is your working class bar with hidden soul food inside. I love that this place hasn’t changed in 15 yrs (when I first came here).

Amazing cat fish po boy and the drinks are very heavy on the pour.

This was a nice experience. I had the Gumbolaya and a cheese steak. The gumbolaya was very thick and quite good. Super filling on its own. The cheese steak was very nicely done, thick cuts of tender beef instead of shaved steak. Great people working here also. On a scale from 0-10, I would rate this 8 2.

Nothing can beat this place for their chicken wings, Cajun food, and fish and chip specials on Saturdays. My wife loves the Gumbolaya, while I love the double dipped wings. But I have never had anything else that is bad either. Make sure to bring cash though.. they don't accept credit cards.

Dino Cafe is delicious!! The hot honey chicken sandwich is phenomenal. You can’t go wrong with the gumbo and jambalaya!! Thanks Charlie for the great menu!
